Placer County sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect in a “suspicious death” Sunday after a chase that ended at Homewood Mountain Resort.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 12:40 p.m. about suspicious gunfire near the intersection of Timber Wolf Drive and Alder Street in Tahoma.
The responding deputy heard gunshots upon arrival, apparently coming from the area of a known felon’s residence, officials said. The felon left the house and led the deputy on a chase that ended at the Homewood resort, about 2 1/2 miles northwest of Tahoma on the western shore of Lake Tahoe.
Placer County sheriff’s deputies helped in the chase and made the arrest, as Homewood is in Placer County.
