Suspected prowler captured on security camera, later by Lincoln Police

A 32-year-old man was arrested early Saturday on several theft-related charges after a woman watching her security camera feed spotted him attempting to open her car door, the Lincoln Police Department reports.

Authorities said at approximately 2:20 a.m., the woman notified them of the suspicious behavior and provided them with the man’s description.

Upon arrival, police found a man matching the description walking along Newbridge Lane. Alexsander Artisishuk, 32, of Rocklin, was searched and found to be in possession of items that had been stolen from another vehicle in the neighborhood, police said. Police also discovered heroin inside Artisishuk’s truck, parked within the same neighborhood.

Artisishuk was arrested and booked at the South Placer Jail on suspicion of possession of stolen property, petty theft, possession of heroin, and loitering/prowling.
