Police release video of car used by suspected assailants in September homicide

The Sacramento Police Department seeks the community’s assistance in identifying two people believed to have killed Brandon Campbell in south Sacramento on September 28, 2017.

A nearby called 911 around 3 a.m. that morning after hearing a gunshot and finding Campbell bleeding in the 5100 block of Ehrhardt Avenue. The 31-year-old Sacramento resident was unresponsive when officers arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At 2:54 a.m. that morning, security footage captured a 1997 maroon Buick LeSabre passing through the intersection of Center Parkway and Cosumnes Boulevard. The car had a small spare tire on the rear driver's side, and was believed to be occupied by Campbell's two assailants. The footage was released Wednesday afternoon.
