The Roseville Police Department seeks help in identifying a man suspected of stealing a wallet from a woman, then using her bank card to shop at stores in that city and Sacramento County.

The man struck up a conversation with a woman in her late 70s in a grocery store, then diverted her attention by pointing to items on the shelves, according to a Police Department Facebook post. After she left the store, she realized her wallet had been taken from her purse, police said.

The man is described as between the ages of 25 and 30, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 140 to 150 pounds with crooked teeth. He was driving a late-model white sedan with a sun roof, similar to an Acura CL.
