Sacramento Metro Fire fights large barn fire in South Sacramento
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District knocked out a large barn fire off Carlisle Avenue in South Sacramento on Friday. The barn, an outbuilding and former residence, was largely destroyed in the blaze.
A bomb scare at The Sacramento Bee’s midtown building Thursday morning was resolved without incident shortly after 9 a.m. The building was evacuated because of a suspicious dark book or laptop bag was left at the entrance.
