Lincoln police are trying to identify a man who robbed a convenience store clerk at gunpoint early Monday.
The robbery occurred about 3 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on Lincoln Boulevard. A man entered the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money, according to a Police Department Facebook post. The man then left on foot, heading west from the business toward H Street.
The man was described as possibly Hispanic, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing dark pants, a heavy dark brown jacket, black gloves, a black face mask and a beige cowboy hat, although police said security camera photos indicated the hat was more an Australian outback style. Surveillance photos also indicate he was wearing Converse All Star-type shoes.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the man's identity is asked to call the Lincoln Police Department at 916-645-4040.
