The man killed early Friday after his car flipped over while exiting the Capital City Freeway was identified Saturday by the Sacramento County Coroner's office.
Arthur Johnson, 58, of Sacramento was driving his Lincoln four-door sedan northbound to the Arden Way offramp at about 3:30 a.m. when he sped off the road and hit a light pole, California Highway Patrol spokesman Mike Zerfas said.
Photos from the scene showed the car upside-down and folded in half four hours after the crash, its contents still strewn across the road. The car was removed from the road at about 7:45 a.m.

A SIG Alert indicated Capital City Freeway traffic would be delayed for up to a half hour as one southbound lane and two northbound lanes remained closed as of 7:45 a.m. One eastbound lane of Arden Way was also closed.
Johnson died at the scene. He was not believed to be wearing a seat belt or transporting any passengers. It was not immediately known whether alcohol or other drugs played a factor in the crash.
Sacramento Metropolitan Utility District personnel were on the scene Friday morning to treat low-hanging power lines stretching across the freeway.
