Coroner detectives with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office are working to identify a woman whose body was found Sunday near Weber Creek in the Placerville area.
Deputies responded about 5 p.m. to a report of a body, which was in a rocky area among trees and bushes near Helmrich Lane, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. The body, which was in poor condition, was found by two juveniles who were walking in the area.
Coroner detectives determined that the body was that of a white woman approximately 60 to 70 years old. Sheriff’s officials said an autopsy was conducted and found no sign of foul play.
