A Marysville woman who reported her husband missing in January has been arrested on suspicion of murder after his body was found Friday in a shallow grave.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department received anonymous information that Monica Kelly Rodriguez, 33, had killed her husband, Juan Miguel Rodriguez, 33, and buried him off Country Club Drive in Olivehurst, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release. She reportedly elicited the help of two other women to dispose of the body.

On Friday, detectives located a body in a shallow grave. It was identified by tattoos as that of Juan Rodriguez.

Detectives served a search warrant at Rodriguez’s home and found evidence to support the anonymous information, sheriff’s officials said. Monica Rodriguez was arrested and is being held without bail in Yuba County jail.

On Saturday, the two women accused of assisting Monica Rodriguez were found and arrested. Lorena Christine Ruiz, 25, and Maria Aurora Vega, 23, both of Yuba City, were booked into Yuba County jail on suspicion of being accessories to murder and are being held without bail.
