Two men were arrested Sunday morning after a fire broke out in a house where marijuana was being grown, authorities said.
Sacramento Fire Department spokesman Roberto Padilla said 20 firefighters put out the 10:30 a.m. blaze at a home in 4700 block of C Parkway in Sacramento.
“We had multiple reports of a house fire, and we had heavy smoke,” Padilla said, adding that the house was a “confirmed grow house” for marijuana. He declined to say whether the fire was a direct result of indoor marijuana cultivation or processing.
“There are two people under arrest, and we have an ongoing investigation,” he said.
