A 20-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her foot during a south-area incident Wednesday evening, authorities said.
The shooting took place about 6:40 p.m. on the south side of Sears on Florin Road, said Sgt. Lisa Bowman, a spokeswoman for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department. The woman was inside the store when firefighters arrived to treat the wound. It’s unclear whether the victim was shot while inside the store, Bowman said.
The suspect left in a gray vehicle, Bowman said. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
