A medical assistant with Planned Parenthood has been arrested on suspicion of sexual battery.
In October, the Sacramento Police Department received a report of alleged misconduct by Jorge Martin-Santana (pictured), 28, a Planned Parenthood employee. The investigation revealed that Martin-Santana allegedly inappropriately touched a patient during the course of his duties as a medical assistant.
On Tuesday, detectives, in conjunction with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, obtained a warrant for Martin-Santana’s arrest. Police said he turned himself in today and was booked into Sacramento County Jail on the misdemeanor charge.
At this time, police said, the investigation involves only one incident. They ask anyone who thinks he or she may have been a victim or mistreated while receiving care from Martin-Santana to contact investigators.
