A 15-year-old boy has died nearly three weeks after being shot in the head during an assault in South Natomas, according to authorities.
Darron Lee of Sacramento died Friday as the result of injuries sustained in the Nov. 30 attack in the 1900 block of Bandon Way. Lee was shot in the head, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
No arrests have been made in the case.
Sacramento police confirmed they are investigating Lee’s death as a homicide. However, they have released little information about the incident.

According to an online police report, police responded to Bandon Way at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 30 after calls of shots fired in the area. They found Lee, whose injuries were so dire that officers summoned homicide detectives to the scene. Lee was transported to a hospital, where he died.
Sacramento police said they are looking for a boxy 1990s vehicle with a ski rack that is believed to be associated with the shooting.
