The victim has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as Charles Jordan, 42, of Sacramento.
Bowman said a call was received at 7:53 p.m. reporting that someone had been stabbed in the apartment complex at 5622 Florin Road. When deputies arrived, people in the parking lot directed them to an apartment where they found Jordan with at least one stab wound to his upper torso. Paramedics arrived and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motive for the stabbing is not known, and the case has been turned over to homicide detectives.
