A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the March 11 shooting of a teenager in Foothill Farms.
Steven Albert Evans was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He allegedly fired a handgun from a vehicle, striking a 17-year-old and causing an injury that was not life-threatening, according to a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department news release. The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
The shooting occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Andrea Boulevard. A group of people reportedly were standing on the sidewalk when gunshots were fired from a vehicle.
Evans was booked Thursday night into Sacramento County Jail.
