A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly setting fires in restrooms at Elk Grove High School.
The fires were set during lunch period on March 20 in two of the high school’s boys’ restrooms. Both fires were discovered and extinguished by students and staff at the school.
Cosumnes Fire Department investigators and school police worked to identify the arsonist. On Friday, the student was arrested.
Fire investigators, police and high school administrators have been trying to solve other arson fires that have been started in the past couple of weeks, including a fire set at Elk Grove Regional Park.
