Law enforcement officials are asking for help in finding a man who deputies believe attempted to rob a Raley’s supermarket in Auburn.
The man passed a note to a pharmacy clerk asking for specific pills at the store on Lincoln Way at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday. The clerk retreated to a safe place and the suspect left without the pills.
The store was evacuated and deputies, along with officers from other agencies, searched the Raley’s without finding the man, according to a sheriff’s department press release.
The man was described as white, between 35 and 45 years old. He was wearing a hooded black jacket, black pants, light-colored shoes and a baseball cap.
