Roseville police have arrested a man on suspicion of negligently firing a round from a weapon into his neighbor’s wall.
A woman came home about 6 p.m. Saturday to find a bullet hole in the interior wall of her apartment in the 800 block of Gibson Drive. Officers investigated and arrested her neighbor, 40-year-old Ryan Eugene Shirley.
His charges included suspicion of possessing a firearm by a person prohibited by courts from having one, possessing an assault weapon and possessing a large capacity magazine. Police said Shirley is out of custody after posting $50,000 bail.
The bullet hole was from a handgun. While investigating the apparently accidental discharge, officers found the illegal assault rifle and ammunition, according to police.
