Two people were arrested for allegedly trying to steal furniture at a Sacramento store.
Sacramento police were called about 3:15 p.m. Sunday to a report of a burglary in progress at a furniture store in the 4900 block of Stockton Boulevard. When officers arrived they found Dimarceeo T. Johnson, 36, and Ashley Jenee Callen, 28, loading bed frames, headboards and footboards from a shed attached to the store to a pickup truck, according to police.
A store employee verified that the two did not have permission to take the property being loaded into the vehicle. The property was returned to the store.
Johnson and Callen were arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy. Johnson was also arrested for violation of probation.
