Sacramento police have identified 34-year-old Mohammad Joseph Khan as a suspect in the death of Kelsey Snyder, whose body was found in a midtown apartment Saturday.
Police said they have reason to believe that Khan is armed with a gun and has fled to Mexico.
Police responded to the 1600 block of 17th Street about 10 a.m. Saturday after Snyder’s body was discovered by a friend who went to check on her welfare after Snyder failed to respond to numerous phone calls and text messages.
Police said homicide detectives were summoned because Snyder’s body showed obvious signs of trauma.
