What was the outcome of the arrest of Carmichael Pastor John Oselsky ? Was he found guilty?

– Kate, Sacramento

The Rev. John Oselsky was among two dozen adults arrested June 11 on suspicion of prostitution-related offenses during a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department sting in North Highlands.

According to Sacramento Superior Court online records, Oselsky, pastor of Grace Family Church in Carmichael, is charged with one misdemeanor count of soliciting or agreeing to engage in prostitution, and his next court date is Aug. 12.

According to a story in The Sacramento Bee, a friend of Oselsky’s, who acted as a Russian-speaking liaison with the Sheriff’s Department, said Oselsky was on his way to check on new church property and had stopped in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Watt Avenue to purchase a meal when he was approached by two women who knocked on his vehicle window. The friend said Oselsky is not fluent in English and didn’t understand what they were saying. The friend said Oselsky denied asking for an act of prostitution or offering money, saying Oselsky had only $13 in his wallet.
