A man was killed Thursday when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle while passing a big rig on Power Inn Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Sacramento County Coroner identified the motorcyclist as Tyler S. Marshall, 23, of Sacramento.
California Highway Patrol officer Michael Bradley said that at about 2:40 p.m. Thursday a big rig was traveling northbound on Power Inn Road near Cantina Court. The motorcycle, traveling behind the big rig, began to pass the truck when the trucker started to make a right turn into a business driveway.
Motorcyclist Marshall, making his pass in the double turn lane on Power Inn Road, collided with a vehicle making a left onto southbound Power Inn Road from the same driveway that the big rig was turning into, Bradley said.
