Two students were arrested in Calaveras County after a gun was found on a bus.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office said that at 8:10 a.m. Friday were dispatched to Calaveras High School to a report of a gun on a bus. The bus driver held students on the bus until deputies arrived.
Deputies searched the bus seat and belongings of a 17-year-old boy and confiscated a gun. The teen was placed under arrest.
Deputies learned a second male had originally brought the gun onto the bus. That 15 year old student was also arrested.
It is not known what the intentions of the students were, according to a sheriff’s office press release. It is not believed that the students had conceived a plan to hurt anyone, according to police.
