Detectives seek to identify Granite Bay bank robbery suspect

Placer County sheriff’s detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in the Friday morning robbery of a Granite Bay bank.

The man entered the River City Bank on Cavitt Stallman Road at 10:23 a.m. and passed a note to a teller that stated he had a gun and wanted money, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. The man was given money and no gun was seen. He left the area on foot, walking west toward Sierra College Boulevard.

The man is described as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall with an average build and appeared to be in his 30s. He was wearing a red “Anaheim Angels” baseball cap, tan shorts and glasses.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity is asked to call the Placer County Sheriff’s Office at (530) 889-7800.
