Sacramento County sheriff’s detectives seek the public’s help in identifying juveniles believed to be breaking down front doors and burglarizing homes in northeast Sacramento County.
Sheriff’s officials say they believe the male juveniles are responsible for a rash of home burglaries that have occurred since late June and as recently as last weekend.
Between the hours of 8 p.m. and 3 a.m., residents have reported being awakened by the front doors being broken or a similar method of forced entry. After recently obtaining private surveillance video from a homeowner, detectives believe the same suspects are responsible for victimizing numerous residents, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.
In the video, two suspects, who appear to be teenagers, can be seen driving up to a home in a dark-colored SUV, then attempting to break into the residence by repeatedly kicking the front door, sheriff’s officials said.
