Elk Grove police will meet with residents of the city’s west side at a community forum 6 p.m. Thursday at Elk Grove City Council Chambers.
Residents can bring their questions, concerns and suggestions to the meeting planned for those who live on the west side of Elk Grove, west of Highway 99. The neighborhoods are patrolled by police Beats 1,2, and 4.
Elk Grove police dispatchers, Problem Oriented Policing officers and other department representatives will be on hand to discuss crime issues, mapping and community policing efforts.
“A lot of times, law enforcement can be reactive. We don’t know the situation until we get there,” said Elk Grove Police spokesman Christopher Trim. “We want to be proactive.”
