A 37-year-old Sacramento man who had sought to have sex with an underage girl has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release for attempted enticement of a minor, authorities said Thursday.
In 2012, Nicholas Perry began communicating with an undercover detective with the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, who offered to introduce Perry to a minor. Perry agreed to meet with a fictional father and daughter in order to have sex with the girl. He was arrested when he arrived at the meeting place.
U.S. District Judge Morrison C. England Jr. imposed the sentence Thursday.
