Sacramento police had a busy swing shift on Saturday dealing with gunfire and a knifing.
At about 2 p.m. Saturday two people got into an argument in the 2000 block of O’Neil Way in South Sacramento. One person shot the other before fleeing in a vehicle, according to police reports.
The wounded person went to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The alleged shooter was taken to jail on suspicion of attempted homicide.
About 8 p.m. Saturday three people walked around a corner in the 3800 block of Cypress Street in Del Paso Heights and shot at a group of people who were standing near a vehicle. One man was hit in the lower body and was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

And then at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, an argument escalated into a fight in the 6300 block of Riverside Boulevard in Greenhaven. One person grabbed the other by the throat, prompting the one being choked to cut the other with a knife.
The one doing the choking was sent to the hospital with a non life-threatening wound.
