An early morning multi-vehicle crash at a downtown interchange has backed up traffic northbound on Highway 99 into the city, making Interstate 5 the better way to work for commuters.
The crash, reportedly involving at least three vehicles, was reported just before 6 a.m. Tuesday in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 at the connector to Highway 50.
One driver suffered a minor injury in the crash. Another crash in the backup of traffic did not cause injury.
“Interstate 5 would be the only (good) route,” for commuters said Wetzel.

Earlier reports that indicated a vehicle was hanging over the side of the highway prove to be erroneous, Wetzel said. However, the crash did leave a pickup perpendicular across the hood of a car.
