Sacramento police said a wanted parolee who earlier evaded officers and hid in his Natomas apartment with his children has been detained by officers.
The man gave up shortly after noon Wednesday. Three children he had with him are safe.
“He walked out and surrendered to police,” said Officer Justin Brown, a spokesman for the Sacramento Police Department.
At about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers tried to stop a vehicle near Fourth and P streets in downtown Sacramento. A pursuit began when the driver failed to pull over, with the chase ending at the apartment complex at Azevedo Drive and West El Camino Avenue.
