A 22-year-old Oroville man has been arrested in the early Monday shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.
Ker Vang was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of murder in the death of Jar Pao Lee, 19, of Oroville and is being held in the Butte County jail without bail, according to a Butte County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies responded about 1:50 a.m. Monday to a report of gunshots fired at a vehicle on Highway 70 south of the Nelson Road/Grand Avenue offramp in Oroville. While deputies were investigating, Chico police notified the Sheriff’s Office that officers were responding to Enloe Hospital for two gunshot victims.
Authorities determined that the two people at the hospital were the victims in the Highway 70 shooting.
