Auburn police seek identity of bank robbery suspect

Auburn police seek to identify a man accused of robbing a U.S. Bank branch Monday morning.

The robbery occurred about 11:20 a.m. in the 700 block of High Street. The man demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a Police Department news release. No weapon was seen during the robbery, police said.

The man is described as white, 38 to 48 years old, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches, to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a slender to medium build, and short blond or graying hair. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap with a white or light-colored bill, and some sort of red logo on the front portion of the hat. He also was wearing blue jeans, a red long-sleeve plaid, possibly flannel, shirt, and dark-colored shoes.
