Police investigators determined that the alleged offenses occurred in the town of Truckee and in Washoe County, Nevada in 2013. When Truckee detectives and Washoe County sheriff’s officials attempted to find Vasquez, they discovered that he had fled to El Salvador, police said.
According to Nevada County Superior Court records available online, Vasquez pleaded no contest to a felony charge of a lewd act upon a child. He was sentenced July 7 to 180 days in jail and three years of supervised probation, and ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the victim and the victim’s family.
