El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies continued their search Friday for a man who fired at one of their own earlier in the day near Camino.
But authorities this evening reopened all roads in the Camino area that were shut down following the 8 a.m shooting as deputies searched for the shooter, according to El Dorado County Sheriff’s officials. Area schools and Marshall Hospital remained open.
Sheriff’s officials say a deputy contacted a man near Cable Road in Camino about 8 a.m. The deputy struggled with the man before the man retrieved a handgun and fired a shot at the deputy.
The man, described as 6 feet 2 inches and 225 pounds was wearing a flannel shirt, blue pants and boots. He had a shaved head and a goatee.
