Two people who were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide inside a Galt home over the weekend have been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner’s website identified the couple as Kimberly Ann Weigant, 54, and Ray Allen Saiter, 68, both of Galt.
Police responded to a call from Weigant’s adult daughter about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, according to Galt police Chief Dan Drummond. The daughter, who does not live in Galt, said her mother had told her she had killed Saiter, her boyfriend, and was going to kill herself, Drummond said.
Drummond said police were in front of the home in the 700 block of Lyonia Drive and were speaking with Weigant to get her to come to the front door when there was a delay in conversation and then the sound of a single gunshot.
