The California Highway Patrol is asking the public’s help in locating the driver of an SUV involved in a July hit-and-run collision in which a pedestrian died.
Janice Christensen, 55, of Sacramento was pushing a shopping cart across the intersection of Arden Way and Maple Glen Road, heading south, at about 12:45 a.m. July 20. As Christensen entered the westbound slow lane, she was struck by a black 2003 Lincoln Aviator, which was traveling westbound on Arden Way. The driver of the Aviator drove away, heading west on Arden Way. Christensen was pronounced dead at the scene.
CHP investigators are asking the community’s help in locating the vehicle and the driver. They said the vehicle had damage to the left front end.
