Sacramento County sheriff’s homicide detectives arrested two suspects Sunday night and were searching for a third in the slaying of a 25-year-old Rancho Cordova man late Saturday.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Bowman identified the men in custody as Kavon William Cry, 18, and Omar Lee Talley, 19. Each was being held without bail in Sacramento County jail on a charge of murder, Bowman said in a statement Sunday night.
Neither man is listed in Sacramento Superior Court online records as facing criminal charges previously. Detectives do not believe the victim, whom coroner’s officials did not identify Sunday night, knew the suspects.
The victim and a friend had an argument with three men in the 10700 block of Ambassador Drive, and that led to the shooting, Rancho Cordova police said.
