A man and a woman died in a car crash Friday night after their pick up truck fell into a culvert and caught fire.
The accident happened close to 11 p.m. on Bradshaw Road and Rogers Road, California Highway Patrol officials said. A Dodge Challenger with three people inside was southbound on Bradshaw Road when it hit a Toyota pickup truck.
The truck fell into a culvert and caught fire. A unidentified male and a female, 26, in the pickup truck died at the scene. The passengers in the Dodge were transported to hospital. Their conditions were not available Saturday. The driver of that vehicle did not need medical attention, the CHP said.
The Challenger was going above the posted speed limit of 55 miles per hour on Bradshaw Road, according to the CHP.
