Sacramento police are investigating gunfire that sent two men to a hospital with life-threatening injuries Monday night.
The sketchy details released Tuesday by police reveal that officers were called about 5 p.m. to a shooting in the 6200 block of Lemon Hill Avenue in south Sacramento. There, they found evidence of an exchange of gunfire, but no combatants.
All of those who had fired weapons had fled. Later, a man showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
Officers believe his injury is related to the Lemon Hill shootout. Officers were also able to find a man who had been struck with gunfire while inside his apartment in a neighboring complex.
