Rocklin police are asking the public’s help in finding a missing 84-year-old woman who suffers from dementia.

Mary Dye’s daughter told police she last heard from her mother on Sunday. Dye, her adult son and 4-year-old grandson have moved out of the Villa Serena senior housing complex to an unknown location, and her daughter is concerned that her mother may not know where she has moved, according to a Police Department news release.

Dye is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes. A photo provided by police is about 4 years old, and Dye’s appearance has changed. Her hair is now gray instead of brown and she wears it shorter than shown in the photo.

Anyone with information regarding Dye’s whereabouts is asked to call Rocklin Police dispatch at (916) 625-5400.

Call The Bee’s Cathy Locke, (916) 321-5287.
