A teen was hit and killed by a passenger train over the weekend in Dixon.
The Solano County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office identified the girl as Evalina Hernandez, 16, of Dixon.
Dixon police, fire fighters and emergency medical personnel responded about 10 p.m. Saturday to the railroad crossing on North First Street where an Amtrak passenger train had hit a pedestrian.
Dixon Police Chief Jon Cox said details surrounding the girl’s death could not be released pending an investigation. Union Pacific Railroad and Amtrak police are the lead agencies conducting the investigation.
