An off-duty Roseville police officer was arrested Tuesday night after police dispatchers received a call from a woman who said her husband had threatened great bodily harm and brandished a firearm.
Officers responded to the Roseville home at 11:27 p.m. to check on the family’s welfare. After an investigation, they arrested Officer Jude Michael Chabot, 30, on suspicion of making criminal threats and brandishing a firearm, according to a Police Department news release.
Police said no one in the home was physically assaulted or suffered physical injuries. Firearms were seized and a criminal investigation is under way, authorities said.
Chabot was booked at the Placer County Jail and has since been released on a $25,000 bail bond.
