A Weimar resident told deputies he was awakened by a man stabbing him in the head early Friday morning, authorities said.
Placer County sheriff’s deputies eventually arrested Calen Ryan Dane, 26, of Weimar on suspicion of attempted murder.
The Sheriff’s Office received 911 calls about 1:20 a.m. Friday about someone with a flashlight trying to get into homes on Aurora Nova Court. While en route, another 911 call reported a stabbing on the court.
When deputies arrived, they found a man who said he was awakened in his room by a man stabbing him in the head. The resident fled his attacker.

Deputies said they gained evidence that Dane was the man who attacked the resident. Dane was located in a residence on nearby Ponderosa Way and taken to jail.
The victim was treated at the hospital and released.
