A big rig truck went up in flames Monday at a Dunnigan-area truck stop.
Dunnigan Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched just after 5 a.m. to the Pilot Travel Center, 30035 County Road 8, for a semi-truck and trailer reported to be burning at the fuel dock.
Upon arrival they found the truck part of the rig engulfed in flames. Firefighters put out the fire but the truck was a total loss.
The fuel docks and roof above the pumps were damaged as well. The driver suffered smoke inhalation and was transported the hospital.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Yolo County Fire Investigations Unit.
