Homicide detectives were called to a home Friday night in Sacramento’s Meadowview area after a man was found dead inside and emergency personnel reported an odor of natural gas.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded about 6 p.m. to the home in the 1400 block of 68th Avenue. Sacramento police spokesman Officer Doug Morse said the man was found by a friend. When fire and emergency medical crews arrived, they reported the odor of natural gas in the residence.
Because of the circumstances, police were called, and Morse said the case is being investigated as a possible homicide. He said homicide detectives arrived about 8:30 p.m. and began their investigation.
Morse declined to release any information about the victim, describing him only as an adult male.
