A 20-year-old woman died Sunday night in a roll-over crash on the Capital City Freeway.
The woman was driving a 2003 Honda Accord southbound on the freeway north of Marconi Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle as she entered a curve in the roadway, according to a California Highway Patrol news release. The vehicle left the roadway and traveled out of control in a westerly direction through the grass shoulder and overturned on Connie Drive.
The woman, who was alone in the vehicle and wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.
CHP officials said it is not known whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
