Roseville police arrest man accused of following women joggers

A 22-year-old Roseville man accused of following women joggers in his vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of stalking.

Logan Dale Fagre was taken into custody Sunday near Pleasant Grove and Foothills boulevards, according to a Roseville Police Department news release.

Police recently investigated reports of a male driver following women joggers. The man didn’t make contact with the women, but he appeared to deliberately follow them, making U-turns and cruising slowly past them while staring at them, police said. Some of the women were so alarmed by his behavior that they hid or called a family member to come pick them up.

The women described the man as white, with red hair and a beard or goatee, driving an older white car. The suspicious incidents were reported in residential neighborhoods near Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard and Baseline Road, and on Reserve Drive/Diamond Oaks Road, according to police.

Based on information provided by joggers, officers identified the suspect and were attempting to locate him, when a woman jogging in a west Roseville neighborhood Sunday morning noticed a man following her. She had heard about him from a neighborhood email and called police.

Officers located Fagre in his car near Pleasant Grove and Foothills boulevards and determined after an investigation that they had probable cause to connect him to the suspicious incidents involving the women joggers, police said. Fagre was booked into Placer County Jail and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Police said they were not releasing Fagre’s booking photo or an exact vehicle description due to the ongoing investigation. Anyone who has been followed while jogging or had any other suspicious encounters with a man fitting Fagre’s description – police said he recently shaved his facial hair – and driving an older white car, is asked to call the Roseville Police Department at (916) 774-5070.
