A motorcyclist who crashed after losing control of his vehicle Wednesday night on Industrial Boulevard in West Sacramento has died.
Adrian Owings, 39, of West Sacramento was pronounced dead at a hospital about 45 minutes after the crash that left him with serious injuries.
West Sacramento police Lt. Tod Sockman said that Owings was westbound on Industrial Boulevard, west of Beacon Boulevard, at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at a high rate of speed. Probably due to the speed, Owings’ motorcycle strayed into the opposing lane, Sockman said.
Owings swerved to avoid an oncoming big rig and lost control of his motorcycle. His motorcycle then struck a curb. Owings was thrown from his motorcycle, causing him severe trauma, Sockman said.
