According to a story in The Sacramento Bee, the robbery occurred just before 7:30 a.m. A woman was at home with her two children when another woman knocked on her door. When the resident opened the door, two men with handguns entered and one of the men struck her in the face with either his fist or a gun, police said at the time.
After rifling through the house, the suspects left the house in a silver Nissan, taking stolen items with them. The resident was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries suffered during the robbery.
