Sacramento police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian late Friday.

Authorities said the incident occurred at 11:36 p.m., when a vehicle struck a woman walking eastbound on Arcade Boulevard, near Palm Street. The vehicle is described as a 2000 to 2004, dark gray Ford Taurus. The woman was rushed to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.

Her name has not been released.

Police said the suspected vehicle is missing the passenger side mirror and may have sustained significant damage to the hood and windshield.
